Ryanair confirmation number

Oh what a nightmare. I'm going to London this summer and I bought a ticket through Ryanair. I've done it several times and I've only positive things to say about Ryanair; Efficient, easy and convenient. But there's one thing that has made it difficult lately, namely the need for a confirmation number. I had no problems buying the ticket and everything was OK. Since I ordered the ticket at a place without a printer I thought that this wouldn't be a problem because I will get a confirmation E-mail later on. What happened - I didn't get the confirmation e-mail. I check out their web-page and find a way to change / look at my ticket, but I need the confirmation number to open the page. I search the web and I find I'm not the only one with the same problem. There are lots of hits on the web and some advice as well. I don't succeed in any of them, but then I realize that there might be something in my bank about the confirmation number - and there it is - as the last five numbers in the VISA confirmation number. Oh relief - right away I used it to print my ticket and everything is fine. Of all the answers I found on the web I didn't find this one - so if you're in the same situation: There is hope: Check your bank receipts!

Great Advice!!!

Thanks I was in a similar position to you. Had an email confirmation from RyanAir but had lost due to a disk crash.

Just checked my bank statemaent and was able to reconfirm on their site.

This just worked for us! Thanks, we tried emails (to every possible ryanair address we could find listed) and faxes. No success--until we came across your site.

It's great that people actually come back to say thank you - so THANK YOU for doing that! Then I know that my blog has been of some help - and that's a nice thing :)

Tusen takk, utrulig at Ryanair ikke klarer å gi denne informasjonen til sine passasjerer. Du redda meg :)

I'm in the same position, and when I read your post I thought that I was in for a chance...However when I went online to check my bank account, there was no such number.

I then thought that maybe you can't check through the internet, so I looked through my old bank statements to see if there was a number that co-insided with my old confirmation numbers; still no luck.

Where do you look in your bank statements exaclty?

thank you very much...this still works (2008)!

You are a lifesaver...

I don't know why Ryanair don't have a way for you to retrieve your details online in cases like this. It's madness! I had to stumble on your blog to solve a problem that I am sure plague thousands of travelers. Saved by a stranger when the company should have had the foresight (and common sense!!!) to think of something like this! But anyway, that is big companies for you. Watch that money rolling in when you call the rip-off phonelines... Thanks very much for this tip!

Thankyou so much for your advice. It worked for me too however was the last 6 digits of my bank statement reference number. I checked it online was so simple!!Thankyou was just about to give up and i would have lost about £250....it had to be the expensive leg of the journey!!!
Thankyou again...need a holiday now!!!

BRILLIANT TIP!!!!!!!!
I can't believe Ryanair makes it that difficult to track the confirmation number. I have been trying to get the flight confimation as didn't get the email and had not thought about checking it on the credit card used!!

Same problem for me as well and couldn't get through to speak to Ryanair customer service. As a last resort i typed 'ryanair confirmation number' into google and found your blog. Worked perfectly. Thanks.

Same situation to everyone else such a relief to find this! Why can this not be put on the Ryanair website?! Thanks though.

As much as I've read around the 'net, the confirmation number isn't necessary... They don't really demand it as long as you don't need it for some booking changes.

but still you don't want to show up at the airport and find out that you are not even on their passengers list.

similar to you guys i booked my ticket 3 days ago. the booking went through but i haven't received the email. and i did not note down the confirmation no. argh. well i was planning to call up the uberexpensive hotline but i'll just check my statements! :)

thanks.

July 2008 and Ryanair STILL haven't done anything about this!!!! When changing flight details you can confirm the card used to book the flight and your email address. So they should be able to use that to send you the confirmation email again. This is very poor form on Ryanair's part, very poor form. Thank you for this most useful and - unfortunately - essential - solution. My firend is in the same dilemma, she lost the email.

Guys

Great advice!

Have the confirmation number - but every time I try I get "please enter confirmation number" (aaargh!!) or I get "cannot find itinerary"!

I got 2 letters, 2 numbers, 2 more letters and 6 numbers.

What's the right ones to put in ??

Thanks soo much! Youre a star!!! Flying to Spain in 2 weeks and deleted the email.

Thanks , It still works and I was happy to find this conf.number.

Ah great tip! I booked last night and stupidly didn't note the confirmation as I expected an email to appear with it but nothing has turned up! Fare Sale Ends tonight so was going to book another ticket as was only £4.01! I wonder if Ryanair accidentally on purpose don't send confirmation emails so as to catch us out and make more money...Hmmm??

SOLUTION. Ok, i had the same problem, anyone with this problem in the future contact carol at customer servies, within two hours (by 5am!!) she has sent me my number.

greenc@ryanair.com

All the best, Daniel.

I have checked my bank statement and it just says payment to ryanair 000000 am I missing something?

Daniel said...

yes, that the first part of the long number, its the last 6 you need, however, if like mine you onlt get the full description when the statement is actually issued, recent transactions dont show up the fulls details, use that email i provider in the post before yours.

seems like so many people have problems from ryanair. i tried booking today but the page did not load after 10-15 minutes...

so i stopped it and i didnt get any confirmationemail or anything. now im worried because if they dont see confirmation emails right away (or in some cases at all) im afraid to book again or book elsewhere.

how long does the charget take to show up on your bank acct?

Daniel said...

3 days max on a credit card, almost instant from a debit card (uk)

Hi!
For using the Stansted Express train service and get a discount, they ask you for your Ryanair FLIGHT CONFIRMATION NUMBER, but I guess this is the REFERENCE NUMBER Ryanair gives you.
I am not sure, anyway. May aa three letters - two numbers - three letters code be the Flight Confirmation Number they are asking me for?

Thanks in advance!
